Mr. Terion Cooper

I grew up just West of Michigan State University and completed undergrad degrees at Grand Valley State University. Before college, it was my middle school and high school years that aided in shaping the teacher I am today. In my secondary years I attended Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and auditioned for their International Symphony Band. From there a love of travel was born. Through the years I have had the privilege to travel to Europe to perform, vacation and study. My love of music led to a love of cultures that morphed into degrees in music education and French.

Outside of school I sing with the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir and direct, Choristers, a choir for first and second graders, at 2nd Presbyterian Church. I am persuing my masters degree at Butler University as well as my Kodàly teacher certification, a type of teaching towards music literacy. I am a life-long learner that enjoys experimenting with technology and drinking copious amounts of coffee. I am very excited to be working with the scholars of Shortridge High School and to see what can accomplished together. Viva la musica
